Dear Cornell Families,
The fall chill is setting in and our first report cards of the year are right around the corner! As the leaves change colors our students will be entering the building with their coats and jackets. Please remind them to take their jackets home so they can be prepared for the morning chill once again.
The students are well into the swing of things and classes are running smoothly. We are currently practicing safety procedures and have had 2 assemblies on safety; one with The Officer Phil Program and another on bus safety with our local STA bus company. Please ask your children about ways they have learned to stay safe.
Our annual Harvest Day Parade will be on the 25th at approximately 1:45. Please see the October packet that went home for more details. Students are invited to dress up and participate in the teacher led parade. Please be certain that your child’s costume is appropriate for school.
Parent teacher conferences day is on Oct 26th. If you are not already signed up for a conference, please contact your child’s teacher to be penciled in.
Remember, this year, Cornell Elementary will move to a rotation schedule for their special classes (Art, PE, Music, Library and Tech Ed). The special schedule will run A, B, C, D, E days and not Monday through Friday. Once you have your child’s classroom schedule from the teacher, you can compare it to the Annual Rotation Schedule Calendar listed on the website under the parents tab. This calendar will also be sent home many times throughout the year.
